Tips and Precautions

Disconnect the power before starting work

Before installing a panel (switches, outlets) or a lamp holder, cut off the power from the main switch to avoid electrical hazards.

Use proper insulated tools

Screwdrivers, pliers, and other tools should have insulated handles to prevent electric shocks.

Check the polarity of the wires

In alternating current (AC) installations, the black or red wire is the live (hot) wire, the white is neutral, and the green or bare wire is ground. Connect each wire to its correct position to avoid short circuits.

Secure the outlets and lamp holders properly

Make sure the screws are tightened properly and that the installation is firmly secured to the wall or ceiling to avoid loose connections and overheating.

Disconnect when not in use

If you don’t need an extension cord or power strip plugged in, it’s best to unplug it to avoid phantom energy consumption and possible electrical accidents.
